Come experience Pets Niagara and make a difference!
As a Pets Niagara Youth Ambassadors, five young Niagara Region citizens are sought to inspire youth to discover the wonderful world of pets, the plights of homeless and unwanted pets and to share all the awesome things that they can experience in a world with companion animals by their side.
This is a yearly program that runs from September to September so we are now seeking our next five Youth Ambassadors from across the region to embark on this special learning journey. Have fun and create incredible memories and gain valuable skills. Your mission: find creative new ways to get Niagara's youth interested in and experiencing the rewards of aiding and assisting pets in need.
As part of your duties as a Youth Ambassador, you will share your discoveries and experiences at organized events and activities to introduce and motivate your generation to discover the wonderful world of companion animals.
Applicants must be between 12 and 18 years of age as of September 1st, 2015.
You must be a full time student and, if you are currently 18 years of age, you must intend to return to school / college / university / CEGEP as a full-time student at the end of your school year (2015/2016).
You are passionate about the welfare and well-being of companion animals and want to share this passion with other young Canadians.
All applicants will be required to attend a round table interview so that we may observe your initiative and creativity, along with your presentation and group work skills. You will be notified of the next Round Table interview sessions shortly after we receive your completed application.

Applicants will be screened against the following criteria And must clearly indicate that they meet the established criteria.
Must be a full-time student in an accredited institution, and be returning to full-time studies for the next academic term.
English Essential, French an Asset
Applicants will be rated against the following criteria and may be rated against education and experience.
Your challenge will be to bring the Pets Niagara mission and programs to young Canadians throughout the Niagara Peninsula and to play and encourage young Canadians to learn more about the special nature of companion animals and the human-animal bond and to inspire them to share their experiences with others.
If you enjoy stimulating challenges, like to get involved in new experiences, and are a talented communicator who is creative and knows how to use social media tools, this challenge will be of interest to you.
The onus is on you, the candidate, to submit an application that addresses directly the screening requirements of of our Youth Ambassadors Program (your education and experience).
